Swatting: Boy, 17, accused of making four fake ‘high-risk’ 911 calls in Vaughan

York Regional Police have arrested and charged a Vaughan teen in multiple swatting incidents. Swatting is tricking police into dispatching emergency responders to a fake report of an ongoing high-risk incident. On Nov. 20, 2020, police were called to Tommy Douglas Secondary School in Vaughan for a male inside the school with a gun. Officers responded to the call only to discover the call was a hoax.
