GOLDSTEIN: Trudeau’s new climate targets are fantasies built on delusions

After he won the 2015 election, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said his climate change plan would reduce Canada’s annual greenhouse gas emissions that year of 723 million tonnes to 613 million tonnes annually in 2020. But the latest federal government data released Monday shows that as of the end of 2019, far from achieving this promised cut of 110 million tonnes of emission, they’ve increased by seven million tonnes to 730 million tonnes annually since Trudeau took office.
