Ontario reports 1,092 new COVID cases, hits brakes in Sudbury

New modelling shows progress in the battle against COVID-19 has “stalled” with the rate of cases rising in many areas of the province. Dr. Adalsteinn Brown, of the Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table, said vaccination in long-term care (LTC) has paid off in fewer outbreaks and deaths but the next few weeks will be critical in preventing a renewed surge in cases in the general population.
