Video: Trudeau Again Refuses To Say China Is Committing Genocide

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has once again refused to refer to China’s actions in Xinjiang as a genocide, avoiding yet another opportunity to line up with the House of Commons and Canadian public opinion on China. Instead, Trudeau spoke of ‘human rights abuses,’ a much softer term. Trudeau did note that the reports were ‘credible,’ showing that even he can’t be seen to fully back up China’s position given how deeply unpopular the Communist State has become among Canadians. Still, Trudeau’s refusal to say China is committing genocide is creating a growing gap between him and backbench Liberal MPs, not to mention the overwhelming majority of MPs who voted for a Conservative motion declaring China’s actions a genocide.
