The Los Angeles City Council has unanimously voted to created a pilot program to send “unarmed response” teams to nonviolent calls which are currently handled by the city’s police department. Every election we see a majority of voters in California cast ballots against their own interests, but its fascinating to watch elected Democrats not only vote for something with an obvious flaw, but to celebrate doing so. The decision to explore keeping police officers away from some calls by the Democratic-run council was made this past week and hailed by the council’s president, Nury Martinez, according to KTTV.

The New York City Police Department, the largest police force in the nation, has seen a nearly 90 percent increase in retirements so far this year, according to Fox News. Around 2,400 officers had filed for retirement as of Oct. 6, compared to around 1,300 during the same time frame in 2019, marking an 87 percent increase, an NYPD spokesperson told Fox. Additionally, a total of 372 officers had resigned as of Oct. 6. “The NYPD has seen a surge in the number of officers filing for retirement,” the spokesperson said. “While the decision to retire is a personal one and can be attributed to a range of factors, it is a troubling trend that we are closely monitoring.”
A group that serves as a fiscal sponsor for various liberal-leaning organizations has reportedly been the recipient of almost $170 million in government grant money. One tumbles down a rabbit hole when exploring the financials of the Tides Center, the gatekeeper of these taxpayer funds. The San Francisco-based nonprofit, in conjunction with its sibling Tides Foundation and working under the Tides umbrella, has shrouded itself behind a 501(c)(3) status, while cloaking its extensive heritage as a left-wing cash clearinghouse. The Tides Foundation, for its part, has been transparent in its new partnership with BLM, which it announced July 2, as Black Lives Matter protests persisted throughout the United States after the May 25 death of George Floyd.
A suspect shot dead by police after the beheading of a history teacher near Paris was an 18-year-old Chechen refugee unknown to intelligence services who posted a grisly claim of responsibility on social media minutes after the attack, officials said Saturday. France’s anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office said authorities investigating the killing of Samuel Paty in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine on Friday arrested nine suspects, including the teen’s grandfather, parents and 17-year-old brother. Paty, who was 47, had discussed caricatures of Prophet Muhammad with his class, leading to threats, police officials said. Islam prohibits images of the Prophet, asserting that they lead to idolatry. The officials could not be named because they were not authorized to discuss ongoing investigations.
Conservative author and commentator Candace Owens blasted music mogul Diddy’s announcement to start a “Black” political party, asserting that the party is evidence that the “Democratic Jim Crow era is making a comeback.” “I have said for the last three years that Democrats have gotten clever enough to teach black Americans to segregate themselves,” Owens posted via Twitter. “[Diddy] launching ‘our black party’ while NYU students seek black-only dorms is proof that the Democratic Jim Crow era is making a comeback.” “The same racist democrats that told us that ‘Make America Great Again’ was racist, will be telling blacks that ‘our black party’ is virtuous,” she added.
A federal promise of more police resources to contain escalating violence in a southwestern Nova Scotia fishing community met with scant approval saturday, with opposition critics praising what they perceive as past inaction and one Indigenous community leader calling for military support in the wake of a suspicious fire. The early morning blaze that destroyed a lobster pound in Middle West pubnico, N.S., capped a week of rising tensions over Indigenous fishing treaty rights.
Michael Warrington is a name you probably did not know before his employer, Terra Cotta Investments, outed him as the man that hurled a racial slur at another golfer last weekend at the Georgetown Golf Club. A video of the incident went viral on Instagram — Warrington and his son caught on camera pacing to and from their golf cart in a confrontation with another golfing pair. The heated exchange seemed to center around Warrington’s group frustrated with the delay in play and it devolved into Warrington hurling expletives and a racial slur on camera.
PARIS — A man knifed to death a middle school history teacher in France who had shown his pupils cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad that Muslims consider to be blasphemous, French officials said on Friday. The attacker was shot dead by a police patrol a few streets away from the scene of the attack late on Friday afternoon, in a residential suburb north-west of Paris.
The names of small children don’t often appear on monuments, but Edward Baumler’s name is there among those of many other children who were murdered in the massacre at Milford. Edward was only 3 years old when he was shot to death by Dakota raiders. His brother, Heinrich, who died alongside him, killed with a tomahawk, was 7 years old. Their baby sister was murdered with an arrow. The Baumler children were among a dozen other children, and twice as many women, killed by the tribal child murderers and rapists who assaulted the immigrant German township of Milford. Now a statue of President Lincoln was toppled in Portland and the University of Wisconsin-Madison student government voted to remove his statue because he punished the killers of Milford’s children and the killers of the other seventy children under 10 years old.
The University of Minnesota’s School of Social Work and Continuing Education Series recently hosted what they called a Special Webinar Series that was titled, “Deconstructing & Decentralizing White-ness in Practice: A Three-Part Series,” in which a lecture titled “Recovery from White Conditioning” taught white people how to use a “12-step” program similar to Alcoholics Anonymous to “recover and reclaim our full humanity.” Therapist Cristina Combs, who created the program, spent “years of struggling to navigate the role and presence of whiteness in her personal, academic, and professional journeys,” the website for the series claims.
