LILLEY: Is Ontario close to turning the corner on COVID?
The case numbers are down, as are hospitalizations and ICU admissions, for the most part our long-term care homes are getting close to vaccinated. Is Ontario about to turn the corner on COVID-19? The answer is almost, but not quite. After two days of cases just above 1,000 per day, Ontario dipped below 1,000 to record 945 new cases on Thursday. The bad news is that due to ongoing data issues from Toronto Public Health, it’s not an accurate picture since the province’s biggest city “under-reported” cases.
