LILLEY: Horwath can’t capitalize on Ford’s mistakes is bad news for NDP
One month from now, in the first weekend of March, Andrea Horwath will celebrate 12 years as leader of Ontario’s New Democratic Party. The question the party should be asking is whether they should be celebrating with her or looking for a new leader in time for the next election. Despite her dozen years in office, the NDP have never claimed power. It’s true that Horwath could say that she took the NDP to official opposition status for the first time since Bob Rae’s NDP government was booted from office, but what has she done since then?
