Reports: Ontario Curfew Off The Table
After reports indicated the Ontario government was considering a Quebec-style curfew on residents, it is now being reported that has been taken off the table. As reported by Brian Lilley, the government has said a curfew will not be imposed. This is good to see, a rare moment of sanity in what feels like an otherwise insane time, and it’s good that Ford has rejected a curfew. The concern is that other lockdown measures continue, leaving people isolated, small businesses crushed, and big box stores taking advantage. Further, there is a justifiable concern that this latest reversal could be reversed again, owning to the inconsistency in government statements and policy that has characterized this crisis.
