Watch: Senator calls out Trudeau Liberals for targeting Canadians’ savings accounts

Senator Leo Housakos questioned the language used by Liberal Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, who referred to Canadian citizens’ savings as “pre-loaded stimulus” and asked for “ideas on how the government can act to help unlock” this money. Housakos asked Government Leader Sen. Marc Gold: “Your government hasn’t tabled a budget in two years. You did recently deliver a fall economic statement in which Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland referred to preloaded stimulus no less than five times in that statement, as a means to economic recovery. Preloaded stimulus is another one of your government’s cute little catchphrases, the kind you roll out when you don’t want Canadians to catch on to what you’re actually trying to do.
