President Donald Trump leads all comers in likely Republican Party candidates in 2024 should his legal battles in key swing states fall short. A Politico/Morning Consult poll finds the president with 53 percent support among Republicans and Republican-leaning registered voters, followed by Vice President Mike Pence at 12 percent and Donald Trump Jr. at 8 percent. Other Republicans including former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, the former governor of South Carolina, and Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas and Mitt Romney of Utah came in at 4 percent support apiece. The poll, conducted Nov. 21-23, had a total sample size was 1,990 registered voters, with a margin of error of +/- 2 percentage points.
