Democratic Georgia Senate candidate Raphael Warnock has deep past ties to a church that hosted late Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro. Warnock was a youth pastor at Abyssinian Baptist Church when they hosted an event for Castro in 1995, Fox News reported Monday. Castro was visiting New York City to address the United Nations General Assembly. The Warnock campaign said that he was not a decision-maker at the church at the time, according to Fox. Warnock’s opponent, incumbent Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler, responded to the news. “@ReverendWarnock celebrated Fidel Castro & welcomed him to his church. It’s another example of what we’ve been saying all along: He’s the most dangerous and radical candidate in America,” Loeffler tweeted.
