A cabinet filibuster has now blocked disclosure of corporate sponsorship fees paid to the Trudeau family for its second week, according to Blacklock’s Reporter. The vote to release records has been delayed by Liberal MPs on the ethics committee. Those records hold details regarding thousands of dollars paid to the Trudeau family. New Democrat MP Charlie Angus called the process of delaying the vote “ridiculous and completely out of order.” “The question of hiring the prime minister’s family to work corporate sponsorship events puts the prime minister in a pretty clear issue of conflict of interest,” Angus said. “This debate may go on as long as the Liberals want to filibuster.”
