While COVID-19 has forced cancellation of nightly fireworks displays this summer, a Niagara Falls man thinks it’s time the Niagara Parks Commission rethinks the practice altogether. Brad Pine has created a petition on change.org calling on the commission to stop the displays, which he feels are bad for the environment. “The NPC is supposed to be about caring for, for protecting and preserving the parks,” Pine said. “The use of fireworks is definitely detrimental to the environment.”
