A five-year-old girl has gone missing near Kearney Lake in Halifax, according to CBC news. Halifax Regional Police cannot confirm whether or not the girl is in the water at this time however they are on the scene, along with Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency. They are currently searching the area using a boat, drone and police dog. “We are searching just to rule out that no one is in there,” said Dave Slaunwhite, district chief for Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency. Police can confirm however that the girl was playing near the water around 12:15 p.m. She was in the area of Kearney Lake and Hamshaw Drive. She is described as white, slim build, less than four feet tall with brown hair at shoulder length.
