Mandatory mask or face coverings are a part of Pearson International Airport’s new rules for passengers and workers. As of June 1, passengers and airport employees must wear masks or face coverings at all times. Last week, the Greater Toronto Airports Authority said terminal access will be restricted to those travelling on the same day and airport workers on duty. However, the GTAA said there are exception to these policies. Children under the age of two are not required to wear a mask — as recommended by public health officials — nor are those unable to remove a face covering without assistance, or those who have trouble breathing or who are dining in the airport.
