A west-end Loblaws location has shut down after several staff members tested positive for COVID-19 — the fourth shut down in three weeks. In a memo sent out by the grocer at 650 Dupont St. — near Christie St. — on Saturday, it stated that “several team members … have tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19,” but that after an additional thorough cleaning, the store reopened that morning. On Monday, Loblaws confirmed it has closed the store, operating just as a dedicated PC Express store and doing pickup orders only.
