Assunta Ricci was 91 when she died of COVID-19 on Apr. 10 at the Harold and Grace Baker Centre in Toronto’s west end. Angela Rosa Masucci was 85 when she succumbed to the same virus at the same Revera nursing home eight days later. The elderly women were cherished by their children and beloved nonnas to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Now their grieving sons, Tonino Ricci and Peter Masucci, are the representative plaintiffs in a proposed $60 million class action lawsuit against Revera.
