The past few days has seen political parties in Ottawa debate how and when Parliament will resume sitting during COVID-19 social distancing measures. Whatever they ultimately agree upon, Parliament must meet throughout this crisis and it must meet, to some extent, in person. The Liberals have been pushing for sittings to take place virtually, a system that isn’t yet up and running. The Conservatives want as many in-person sittings as possible, but with reduced MPs in attendance to practice social distancing.
