An Austin, Texas marketer is having no problem with this whole social distancing thing. Stuck in a California ghost town by himself, 42 kilometres from the nearest grocery story, human physical contact is virtually impossible. Throw in a snowstorm that lasted four days and limited his travel distances to only that which he can snowshoe, suffice to say self-isolating has not been a challenge for 32-year-old Brent Underwood. The challenge has been his ghost town, Cerro Gordo, an old silver mining town with a haunted past that he purchased two years ago doesn’t have running water and then there’s that further question of obtaining food. He’s been surviving on melted snow and a healthy supply of rice and tuna that he believes should see him through the foreseeable future.
