A Canadian senator advocating for “bold” action to avert a “climate catastrophe” has billed taxpayers nearly $17,000 for flights last year, according to Blacklock’s Reporter. Senator Mary Coyle of Antigonish, N.S., a former vice president of St. Francis Xavier University and senate appointee in 2017, billed $16,778 for flights in 2019, listing the travel only as business meetings. All this as she has urged Canadians to do everything they can to reduce their carbon footprint.
