Yes, it may seem everyone and their dog are jumping on the overlanding craze. Just like skateboarding in the ‘90s, what was once a niche activity has definitely ensconced itself in the mainstream. But you know what? We’re okay with that. Until one has spent a night in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, awaking to the gentle sound of whispering glacier run-off, it’s difficult to imagine just how much peace and solitude one can find during an overlanding trip. If concepts like these permit the development of new parts and accessories to create a wider variety of off-road vehicles, then your author welcomes them with open arms.
